LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

There are many interesting and varied places to visit within this beautiful part of East Sussex.  

Little Park Hill Farm lies on the edge of the stunning 1066 country where the historic towns of Battle and Hastings are found.   Batemans, the home of Rudyard Kipling, is about 3 miles distant, along with National Trust properties and gardens, including Scotney Castle, Great Dixter and Groombridge Place. Glyndebourne as well as Herstmonceux and Bodiam Castles, Bentley Motor Museum and the Bluebell and Lavender Line steam railways are further places of interest to visit.  Lakedown fishery, owned by Roger Daltry,  is situated at the bottom of our beautiful valley only a few minutes drive away and is open to the public. 

The coastal and entertainment centers of Brighton and Eastbourne are both within easy driving distance and boast excellent shops, theatres, clubs and casinos.  The spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells with its renowned Georgian Pantiles remains a favoured destination for those who want to enjoy elegant surroundings in the countryside and yet just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of London. 

There is golf at East Sussex National, about 20 minutes drive, and Dale Hill, about 15 minutes drive, numerous smaller courses are also close at hand.

For horse racing enthusiasts, there are courses at Lingfield, Brighton and Plumpton, all within easy reach.

For the children amongst us there is the fantastic and famous educational small zoo and park - DRUSILLAS - www.drusillas.co.uk  which is open everyday of the year, except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Knockhatch Adventure Park and Ski & Snowboarding Centre with all its activities including giant sky leap slide, toboggans, trampolines, crazy golf, rowing boats and go-karts is only 15 minutes drive away.

Pooh Corner at Hartfield where the famous Poohsticks Bridge is found is the home of Winnie-the-Pooh, Christopher Robin and their many friends.
